How does it work?
Getting started is as easy as installing the Charlie’s PC Backup software. We’ll even help you get started if you have any trouble. Once set up, the backup is automatic and you don’t have to do anything. From that point on, your files will always be secure.
Do I Have to Sign a Contract?
Nope, you can cancel anytime you want and there are no cancellation fees. Just give us 30-days notice so we can make sure to get everything finalized correctly.
How often are my files backed up?
The backup is automatic and can be set to occur as often as you want. By default it will back up daily when it detects that the computer is not in use but you can schedule it for any time.
If my computer does crash, I have to reinstall Windows, or I get a new computer, how do I get my backed up files?
Once your computer is fixed, or the new one is up and running, all you have to do is install the Charlie’s PC Backup software on the new/fixed computer. From there you can either select and restore individual files or restore all of your data at one time with a few clicks.
If you need to access your files right away, just go to Charlie’s PC Backup and log in. You will be able to securely browse and download any files you need.
Of course you can always call or email us and we can even restore the files for you!
What if I accidentally delete a file? How can I retrieve it?
Easy, just right-click the Charlie’s PC Backup icon in the taskbar and click “Restore Files…” The restore window will open. Browse to and select the file you want, then click “restore”.
Is My Data Secure?
Yes. Very secure. Your data is encrypted before it leaves its computer using 256-bit AES security. Files are secured beyond the 128-bit encryption methods typically used for online banking, and can be accessed with an Encryption Key that only you have. Your files are stored, in encrypted form, on multiple servers in high security facilities. Not even data center personnel can access your data.
